Painted for and because of my good friend Donny [Rossiter] [writer at Extra] who died far too young at 28, from AIDS. 96″x48″. He sat in the only chair at the exhibit opening which was 4 feet below this painting on gallery floor. There were two bare light bulbs, spray painted one side black, hanging in front. He died during the exhibit. I came back to the gallery after his funeral and only one bulb out of the 72 hanging, above the chair where he sat, had blown out.
